A revolution in real estate research management - PropertyStash

3 January, 2009 (23:32) | Projects, PropertyStash | By: annie

Chris and I are always coming up with ideas.  Unfortunately, not all of them are awesome.  Some are just plain silly, some sound good but are so obvious that a million other people have beat you to it.  Others, however, actually feel good enough to spend some time on.

PropertyStash is our most recent idea worth spending time on.  It’s a tool inspired by a particular issue we’ve both faced many times over, especially in the last year or so.  If you’re anything like us, this issue will probably be quite familiar to you too.

Finding a new place to live.

Shifting houses or (we can only imagine) buying an investment property is often very frustrating and difficult to manage.  There are always so many different options to consider - how many bedrooms do we want / need?  How about bathrooms?  What’s the best location for us?  How much should we look at spending?  Does it have a nice kitchen?  How about a backyard?  And a carpark?  Which properties have we already looked at and liked?  Disliked?  Ahh yes, we’ve been there, done that.  Many times over, in fact.

Anyway, keeping track of all your research can be nightmarish.  Personally, we tend to end up with a multitude of bookmarked websites and many, many pieces of papers with addresses and appointments scribbled on them.  Whatever your way of organising all this data is, it probably isn’t very satisfactory or easy to manage.  Surely, with all the technology available today there must be a better way of dealing with all this information that using pen and paper!

That’s where PropertyStash comes in.  PropertyStash will enable you to manage your real estate research from one central online location and make sure that you have all the information you need, when you need it.

PropertyStash is still very much in it’s beta stage.  Registrations are still to come, but fear not - we have provided you with a private beta invitation program so that we can let you know when things have progressed a bit further.

From a personal (and somewhat selfish) point of view, we can’t wait till we get it up so we can use it the next time we have to move!!
